Art Show at Public School Board 2002
28 May 2002
Crafts Night at the Public School Board 2002
The students at Regina Huda School were excited to participate in their first RPBE Art Show. This was another among many first experiences that the staff and students have enjoyed since becoming an Associate School in the fall of 2001.
As a token of good will and in celebration of this first experience, the principal, Brenda Osten, on behalf of the Regina Huda School Board, presented a representative from each of the other schools participating with a Regina Huda School T-shirt and pin. Included in the work displayed was a 3-D representation of the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca called Hajj. Other art samples included as snowman craft, a Japanese kite, a collaborative mosaic of the world from Grades 1 & 2, a marble painting and another 3-D representation of an Islamic celebration; Eidul-Adha created from clay.
The students were proud to pose in front of their creations and to have the chance to share them with other students from the Regina Public School System.
