We had our first high school assembly in the Multipurpose Room this morning. We began the assembly by singing O Canada and recognizing that Regina Huda School is on Treaty 4 land. Teacher Douha presented 2017 – 2018 semester 2 Imtiaz Award certificates to students who had an average in Islamic Studies and Qur’anic Studies of 85.0% or higher. Regina Huda School students participated in the Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 26. Our school also recognized Orange Shirt Day, so we saw many students dressed in orange during the run. All donations go to the Terry Fox Foundation to support cancer research. Congratulations to Regina Huda School staff and students for raising over $800! Regina Huda School’s High School Business Club has been meeting to learn about Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship. They meet each Thursday 3:30 – 5:00 in Mrs. Murray’s classroom.
The purpose of the Canadian Kangaroo Math competition is to introduce youngsters from grade 1 to grade 12 to math challenges in a fun and enjoyable way, thus inspiring their further interest and advancement in mathematics. For more information, see https://kangaroo.math.ca/

The Grade 5B class decorated their own shirts to wear for Track and Field. They made a beautiful entrance for visitirs as they hung on the fence to dry.
