March Elementary Assembly

We had a great assembly! Students and teachers began by singing O Canada and recognizing that Regina Huda School is on Treaty 4 Territory.
We began the assembly with Teacher Douha and her Grade 4 Arabic students presenting a play in both Arabic and English.
Teacher Douha presented this month’s wudu award winners for the students whose names were drawn from the students who do wudu perfectly during the month.
Mrs. Sandomirsky and a few students came to the front to give us an update regarding their recycling program. They have raise $799.42 so far and kept hundreds of juice boxes and other recyclables out of the garbage!
Mrs. Veikle and her grade 1 students shared a poem about mittens with us.
We congratulated this month’s H.U.D.A. students. Grade 7: Elham and Salma (1st place), Meshah and Manha (2nd), and Salma and Amina (3rd).
Grade 8: Fatima and Batoul (1st place), Alina and Muskan (2nd), and Ameer and Sarim (3rd).
Mrs. Nistor drew the prize for this month’s $10 Dressed to Impress winner. Congratulations Abdullah Z.!
