Pumpkin Hollw 2013-14

The grade 1 class took a field trip to Pumpkin Hollow in September 2013. Pumpkin Hollow is located outside of Lumsden. This field trip is linked to the grade 1 Science Curriculum. The grade 1 students were learning about; seasonal changes, plant, fruits and vegetables. We had the opportunity to go through the corn maze, play in the park, jump on the jumbo trampoline, go on a mini train ride, have a hay wagon ride, see some farm animals, and of course see all the different types of pumpkins. We picked a pumpkin to bring back to class. The students hollowed the pumpkin out, separated the seeds, and washed them. We then and baked and ate them. We had a fantastic day at Pumpkin Hollow!
